Pepe Bucko Stafford

Surf Dog's is saddened to report the passing of a dear friend on August 2, 2021. Born in New Jersey on January 12, 1944,  Joseph Richard Stafford, known as "Bucko" and "Pepe", was an avid golfer who loved competing and besting others years younger than himself. He made friends everywhere he went and loved dancing to ELO's "Strange Magic" at Surf Dog's where he also enjoyed sharing stories and savoring a good wine. Earlier in life, he was a child actor who appeared as Michael in Peter Pan on Broadway (with Mary Martin), in the Spin & Marty serial on the Micky Mouse Club program in the 1950s (with Annette Funicello), and in several other movies (Outlaw's Son). He graced Surf Dog's with his larger than life presence for the past 8 years and he will be sorely missed!
